- 1 pound fresh shiitake mushrooms, stems trimmed
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Place a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add olive oil and unsalted butter to the skillet and allow the butter to melt completely.
- Add the shiitake mushrooms in a single layer and let them cook undisturbed for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Stir and continue cooking for a total of 8 to 10 minutes until mushrooms are golden brown and tender.
- Add minced garlic during the last 2 minutes of cooking and stir gently until fragrant.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately while warm and glossy.
