Description

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces short pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried mint
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the ground beef with olive oil, garlic, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper until browned.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in dried mint and a pinch of paprika, then set aside.
  4. Cook pasta until al dente, reserve some water, and drain.
  5. Mix yogurt with lemon juice and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  6. Place warm pasta in bowls, add yogurt, then top with cooked beef.
  7. Drizzle warm spiced butter over the dish.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
