Description

A refreshing strawberry shortcake iced latte made with fresh strawberries, lightly sweetened cream, chilled milk, and bold espresso poured over ice. This layered café style drink delivers fruity sweetness and smooth coffee flavor in every sip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mash the chopped strawberries with granulated sugar until juicy and slightly syrupy.
  2. Whisk the heavy cream until slightly thickened but still pourable.
  3. Fold half of the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream to create a light pink strawberry cream.
  4. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the milk over the ice.
  6. Slowly add the cooled brewed espresso over the milk to create a layered effect.
  7. Gently spoon the strawberry cream over the top, allowing it to swirl naturally into the drink.
  8. Add a small dollop of remaining strawberry cream if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Allow espresso to cool slightly before pouring to maintain clean layers.
  • Adjust sugar depending on the sweetness of the strawberries.
  • Whip the cream just until slightly thick for a smooth pourable texture.
  • Stir lightly before drinking if you prefer blended flavors.
