Description

Soft and chewy blondies made with rich brown sugar, melted butter, and plenty of chocolate chips. These classic dessert bars are simple, comforting, and packed with caramel flavor in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line an 8 by 8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gently fold in the all purpose flour and salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into 9 squares and serving.
