Description

Turkish Potato Salad is a refreshing and flavorful salad made with boiled potatoes, fresh herbs, and a tangy dressing of olive oil, lemon juice, and vinegar. It’s a perfect side dish for any meal, especially with grilled meats.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cucumber, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water for 10–12 minutes, or until tender. Drain and let them cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the boiled potatoes, red onion, cucumber, parsley, and dill.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.
  4. Pour the dressing over the potato mixture and toss gently to combine.
  5. Sprinkle with paprika for garnish, if desired, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a boiled egg, chopped, to the salad.
  • Try using red potatoes for a more colorful version.
  • Can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge for better flavor.
