Description

A hearty steakhouse-style chicken dish topped with sautéed mushrooms, crispy turkey bacon, melted cheddar cheese, and a creamy honey mustard sauce. This homemade version delivers bold, comforting flavors with tender, juicy chicken in every bite.

  • 4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, about 180 grams each
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 8 turkey bacon strips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and honey until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder on both sides.
  5. Sear the chicken in the skillet for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and place in a baking dish.
  6. In the same skillet, sauté the sliced mushrooms until tender and lightly browned.
  7. Spoon honey mustard sauce over each chicken breast. Top with sautéed mushrooms and crispy turkey bacon strips.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  9. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 75 degrees Celsius.
  10. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
