- 12 milk chocolate heart candies
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Place heart sprinkles in a small bowl.
- Scoop tablespoon sized portions of dough and roll into balls.
- Roll each dough ball in the sprinkles to coat the outside evenly.
- Place on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Immediately press one milk chocolate heart candy into the center of each warm cookie.
- Allow cookies to cool completely before serving.
