Description

A bold and hearty deli inspired salad loaded with romaine lettuce, sliced turkey and ham, cheddar cheese, crisp vegetables, and a creamy tangy dressing that brings everything together in every satisfying bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 large head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 8 ounces deli turkey, sliced into strips
  • 8 ounces deli ham, sliced into strips
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 cup pepperoncini, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Chill a large serving bowl in the refrigerator for a few minutes to keep the salad crisp.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the chopped romaine lettuce to the chilled large bowl.
  4. Layer the sliced deli turkey, sliced deli ham, shredded cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, and pepperoncini over the lettuce.
  5. Pour the dressing over the salad just before serving.
  6. Gently toss until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then serve immediately.
