- 4 whole turkey wings
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups (480 milliliters) chicken broth
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 large red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound baby potatoes (optional)
- 1 to 2 brown gravy packets, prepared separately according to package instructions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C or 350°F.
- Pat turkey wings dry and place in a large bowl. Season with Cajun seasoning, chicken bouillon, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt. Drizzle with olive oil and rub evenly to coat.
- Arrange turkey wings in a deep baking dish. Scatter chopped onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and baby potatoes around the wings if using.
- Place butter pieces evenly over the turkey and vegetables.
- Pour chicken broth into the baking dish. Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake covered for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Prepare brown gravy separately according to package instructions.
- Remove foil, pour prepared gravy evenly over the turkey wings, and bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes until tender and sauce thickens.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Covering tightly during the first stage keeps the wings tender and juicy.
- If you prefer thicker gravy, bake uncovered a few extra minutes.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
