Description

Crispy baked zucchini tots that are golden on the outside, tender and cheesy on the inside, served with marinara for an easy and crowd-pleasing snack.


Ingredients

  • Fresh zucchini, shredded: 2 medium (about 400 grams)
  • Shredded cheese: 120 grams
  • Breadcrumbs: 60 grams
  • Egg: 1 large
  • Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: 0.75 teaspoon
  • Black pepper: 0.5 teaspoon
  • Marinara sauce (for serving): 120 milliliters


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Grate the zucchini and squeeze out as much moisture as possible using a clean towel.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded zucchini, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Shape the mixture into small cylinder-shaped tots and place them evenly spaced on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes, then flip each tot.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and crisp.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  9. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
