Ingredients
- Fresh zucchini, shredded: 2 medium (about 400 grams)
- Shredded cheese: 120 grams
- Breadcrumbs: 60 grams
- Egg: 1 large
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: 0.75 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 0.5 teaspoon
- Marinara sauce (for serving): 120 milliliters
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Grate the zucchini and squeeze out as much moisture as possible using a clean towel.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded zucchini, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Shape the mixture into small cylinder-shaped tots and place them evenly spaced on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then flip each tot.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce.
