Description
A creamy and flavorful white garlic pizza sauce that makes the perfect base for your pizzas.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using), stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before spreading on pizza dough.
- Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Notes
- If the sauce is too thick, you can thin it out with a little more milk.
- This sauce pairs wonderfully with a variety of pizza toppings, especially chicken or vegetables.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
