Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- ½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
- Burger buns and toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, spinach, white cheddar, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into four portions and shape each into ½-inch thick patties. Grease hands lightly with olive oil if needed to prevent sticking.
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add olive oil. Cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let patties rest for a few minutes. Toast burger buns if desired and assemble with your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, avocado, and extra white cheddar.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or a dash of cayenne pepper to the mixture.
- Patties can be frozen before cooking for up to 3 months.
- Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
- Air fryer method: cook at 375°F for 12 minutes, flipping halfway.
