- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 (15 ounce) can refried beans
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup guacamole
- 1/3 cup sliced olives
- 1/2 cup fresh salsa
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 medium jalapeño, sliced or pickled jalapeños
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Spread tortilla chips evenly onto a 13×18-inch baking sheet.
- In a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef for 8–10 minutes until fully cooked and no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
- Add taco seasoning, stir, and cook for 60–90 seconds.
- Pour in water and refried beans. Stir to combine and cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through. Keep warm.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the chips. Add the beef and bean mixture evenly. Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake for 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and top with sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and other desired fresh toppings. Serve warm.
