Description

Toasted Milk Marble Cookies are soft, chewy cookies with a rich flavor, featuring a marbled effect from combining toasted milk and a classic cookie dough.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup toasted milk powder
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium pan, toast the milk powder over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Set aside to cool.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until combined.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and toasted milk powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  7. If desired, fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  8. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • For a marble effect, swirl the chocolate chips into the dough before baking.
