Description
Sweet Potato Tots are the perfect bite-sized snack or side—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Made with simple ingredients and baked (or air-fried) to golden perfection, they’re naturally sweet, well-seasoned, and totally addictive!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium sweet potatoes
- ½ cup breadcrumbs or almond flour
- 1 egg (optional for binding)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- Olive oil spray or brush-on oil for baking
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Peel and boil sweet potatoes until just fork-tender (don’t overcook), then let cool.
- Grate or mash sweet potatoes into a bowl. Add breadcrumbs, egg (if using), garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Mix until combined and shapeable.
- Form into small tot shapes and place on the prepared sheet.
- Spray or brush with oil and bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway until crispy and golden.
Notes
- Skip the egg for a vegan version—just firm up the mixture in the fridge before shaping.
- Air-fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes for a faster, crispier result.
- Serve with ketchup, ranch, or herby yogurt dip.
