Description

A quick and flavorful stir-fry-style dish featuring browned ground beef, shredded Brussels sprouts, and a sticky sweet chili glaze. Perfect for weeknights and packed with bold, satisfying flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (optional)
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 4 cups shredded Brussels sprouts
  • 0.5 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add avocado oil and swirl to coat.
  2. Add ground beef to the pan and cook, breaking it apart, for 6–8 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and soy sauce. Mix well.
  4. Add shredded Brussels sprouts to the skillet and cook for 4–6 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
  5. In a small bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, lime juice, and sriracha if using.
  6. Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir to coat evenly. Cook for 1–2 more minutes until heated through.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use tamari instead of soy sauce for a gluten-free option.
  • Pre-shredded Brussels sprouts save time and effort.
  • Adjust spice level by changing the amount of sriracha.
  • Great over rice, noodles, or in lettuce cups.
