A fun and fruity twist on the classic Rice Krispie treat, with a strawberry flavor and a crunchy topping.
Ingredients

- 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
- 1/2 cup strawberry-flavored cake mix
- 1/4 cup sprinkles (optional)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture, mixing until the cereal is well coated.
- In a separate bowl, combine the crushed freeze-dried strawberries, strawberry-flavored cake mix, and sprinkles (if using). Stir this mixture into the Rice Krispies mixture until evenly distributed.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9×9-inch pan, making sure to pack it down tightly.
- If desired, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and drizzle over the top of the treats.
- Let the treats cool completely before cutting into squares.
- Serve and enjoy the fruity, crunchy goodness!
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of freeze-dried strawberries and cake mix based on your desired level of strawberry flavor.
- For added crunch, sprinkle some additional crushed freeze-dried strawberries or crushed graham crackers on top before the white chocolate drizzle sets.
- These treats can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
