Description
Strawberry Banana Pudding Dessert is a creamy, fruity, no-bake treat layered with vanilla pudding, fresh bananas, strawberries, and vanilla wafers. It’s a refreshing twist on the classic Southern banana pudding.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (5.1 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
- 1 box vanilla wafer cookies
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened.
- Fold in the whipped topping until smooth and creamy.
- In a 9×13-inch dish, layer the bottom with vanilla wafer cookies.
- Add a layer of sliced bananas and strawberries over the cookies.
- Spoon half of the pudding mixture over the fruit and spread evenly.
- Repeat the layers: another layer of cookies, followed by bananas and strawberries, then the remaining pudding mixture.
- Top with a few extra slices of fruit and crumbled cookies for garnish, if desired.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm bananas to avoid browning too quickly.
- Layering the pudding directly on the bananas helps slow oxidation.
- For extra flavor, use banana-flavored pudding instead of vanilla.
- Best served chilled and within 2 days for optimal freshness.
