Description

This creamy, cheesy Stovetop Cheeseburger Pasta brings all the flavors of a classic burger into one comforting, one-pot dish. Packed with ground beef, melty cheese, pasta, and a tangy burger-style sauce, it’s a quick and satisfying weeknight favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Set a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking up with a spoon. Drain if necessary.
  3. Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking for 3 minutes until softened.
  4. Meanwhile, cook pasta in a separate pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  5. To the beef mixture, stir in diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, milk, salt, and pepper. Heat through.
  6. Add cooked pasta and stir to coat evenly.
  7. Remove from heat, then stir in shredded cheddar and mozzarella until melted and creamy.
  8. Serve hot with optional toppings like pickles or chopped scallions.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for best melt and flavor.
  • Stir in cheese off the heat to keep it smooth and creamy.
  • Add a splash of pickle juice for a fun burger twist.
  • For extra richness, fold in a spoonful of cream cheese.
