Description

This bold and fiery Spicy Habanero Salsa is made with charred tomatoes, fresh lime juice, cilantro, and habanero peppers for an unforgettable heat and flavor kick. Perfect for chips, tacos, and more.


Ingredients

  • 12 habanero peppers
  • 34 medium tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 medium yellow onion
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt, to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Char the tomatoes, garlic, onion, and habanero(s) until softened and blistered, about 7–10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  3. Transfer to a blender or food processor and let cool slightly.
  4. Add lime juice, cilantro, cumin, and salt.
  5. Pulse to blend until desired texture is reached.
  6. Optional: Simmer the blended salsa in a saucepan for 5–10 minutes for deeper flavor.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  8. Serve at room temperature or chilled with chips, tacos, or grilled meats.

  • Start with one habanero and increase to taste.
  • Wear gloves when handling habaneros.
