- 200g crab meat (imitation or real)
- 100g cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 slices sandwich bread (or preferred bread)
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and toast the bread, buttered side down, until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Once the bread is toasted, flip it over and evenly distribute the crab mixture on the unbuttered side of two slices of bread.
- Top each with a mixture of shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese, then close the sandwich with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out.
- Return the sandwiches to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, pressing down slightly, until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy and golden.
- Remove from heat, slice, and garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra crunch, you can add a handful of crispy fried onions to the sandwich before toasting.
- If you prefer less heat, reduce the amount of sriracha or omit it entirely.
- Pair with a side of dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce or soy sauce.
