Description

This Soft Apple Cake is a tender, cozy dessert filled with slices of fresh apple and warm cinnamon spice. Easy to make and even easier to love!


Ingredients

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, thinly sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round or springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla.
  4. Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
  5. Toss apple slices with 1 teaspoon flour and fold gently into the batter.
  6. Pour into prepared pan and smooth the top. Arrange extra apple slices decoratively on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 15 minutes, remove from pan, and cool completely on a rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
