- 1.5 kilograms russet potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks
- 450 grams smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
- 400 grams fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 large yellow onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth, about 240 ml
- 60 grams unsalted butter, sliced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Lightly grease the inside of a 6 quart slow cooker.
- Add the potato chunks, sliced smoked sausage, trimmed green beans, diced onion, and minced garlic into the slow cooker.
- Pour chicken broth evenly over the mixture.
- Sprinkle paprika, salt, and black pepper over the top, then distribute sliced butter evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until potatoes are fork tender.
- Stir gently to combine and allow flavors to meld for about 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm directly from the slow cooker or transfer to a serving bowl.

- Avoid over stirring to keep potatoes from breaking apart.
