Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (5 ounces, 140 g) canned tuna, drained
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat waffle maker until fully heated and lightly grease if needed.
- In a mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, shredded mozzarella cheese, eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped chives, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
- Spoon half of the mixture into the center of the waffle maker.
- Close the waffle maker gently and allow the mixture to spread naturally.
- Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
- Carefully remove the chaffle and let it rest for 1 minute to firm up slightly.
- Repeat with the remaining mixture.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Drain the tuna thoroughly to prevent excess moisture.
- For extra crispiness, cook one additional minute.
- Cheddar cheese can be used instead of mozzarella for a sharper flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in a toaster or skillet.
