Description
A flavorful and spicy Cajun Chicken served with creamy Parmesan linguine pasta. This dish combines a perfect balance of heat and rich creaminess, making it a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the linguine pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- While the pasta is cooking, season both sides of the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Slice the cooked chicken breasts and return them to the skillet with the sauce. Add the cooked linguine pasta and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- Adjust the level of Cajun seasoning based on your spice preference.
- You can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
- For extra flavor, add some crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce for a spicier kick.
