Description

A flavorful and spicy Cajun Chicken served with creamy Parmesan linguine pasta. This dish combines a perfect balance of heat and rich creaminess, making it a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, season both sides of the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Slice the cooked chicken breasts and return them to the skillet with the sauce. Add the cooked linguine pasta and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of Cajun seasoning based on your spice preference.
  • You can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • For extra flavor, add some crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce for a spicier kick.
