Description

Savory Cajun Chicken over Creamy Parmesan Linguine is a flavorful dish featuring juicy, Cajun-spiced chicken served over a rich and creamy Parmesan linguine. It combines the bold flavors of Cajun seasoning with the comforting creaminess of pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts evenly with Cajun seasoning on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  7. Slice the Cajun chicken into thin strips and add it to the skillet with the creamy sauce. Toss in the cooked linguine and stir to coat evenly with the sauce.
  8. Serve the pasta with the Cajun chicken on top and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • If you prefer a spicier dish, you can add more Cajun seasoning or red pepper flakes.
  • For a lighter version, you can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or milk.
  • Can be made ahead of time; store the sauce and pasta separately, and reheat before serving.
