- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (plus extra for swirling)
- 1 cup chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Mix in mashed bananas and peanut butter until well combined.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. If desired, swirl extra peanut butter on top with a knife for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture.
- For an extra indulgent version, drizzle melted chocolate over the cooled bread.
- This bread freezes well; wrap tightly and store for up to 3 months.
- Can also be baked as muffins—reduce bake time to 20–25 minutes.
