Description
Quesadizzas are a fun twist on traditional quesadillas, combining pizza ingredients like marinara sauce, cheese, and toppings with the crispy texture of a quesadilla.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or other pizza toppings like mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brush with olive oil.
- Place one tortilla in the skillet and spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on top.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce, followed by half of the pepperoni slices and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place a second tortilla on top to form a sandwich and press down gently.
- Cook the quesadilla for 2-3 minutes on each side, flipping carefully until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
- Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients to make the second quesadilla.
- Slice the quesadizzas into wedges and serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the toppings with your favorite pizza ingredients, such as onions, peppers, or sausage.
- If you prefer a crunchier texture, you can bake the quesadizzas in the oven instead of frying them.
- For a lighter version, use whole wheat tortillas and lower-fat cheese.
