Ingredients
- All purpose flour, 250 g
- Granulated sugar, 180 g
- Unsalted butter, 120 g
- Eggs, 3 large
- Milk, 120 ml
- Baking powder, 2 teaspoons
- Salt, 0.5 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon
- Fresh plums, 400 g
- Powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix all purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the batter alternately with milk, mixing gently.
- Grease and line a round cake pan.
- Spread the batter evenly in the pan.
- Arrange halved plums on top, pressing them lightly into the batter.
- Bake for 45 minutes until golden and a skewer comes out clean.
- Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
