Description

Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Filled Chocolate Banana Bread is a rich, moist chocolate banana loaf with a creamy peanut butter and cream cheese center that makes every slice indulgent and satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Spread half of the chocolate banana batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Evenly spread the peanut butter cream cheese filling over the batter, keeping it slightly away from the edges.
  8. Top with the remaining batter and smooth the surface.
  9. Bake for 55–65 minutes, until the loaf is set and a toothpick inserted into the bread portion comes out mostly clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
  • Allow the loaf to cool fully before slicing for clean layers.
  • Tent loosely with foil if the top browns too quickly.
