- 5 oz ground beef
- 5 oz ground pork
- 1 cup finely diced carrots
- ½ cup chopped green onions
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 (28-oz) cans whole peeled tomatoes
- ½ cup chopped fresh parsley
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and pork. Cook until browned and crumbly, then drain any excess fat.
- Stir in carrots, green onions, and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes until softened and fragrant.
- Add whole peeled tomatoes, breaking them with a spoon. Stir in salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20–25 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Meanwhile, cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the Bolognese sauce, adding a splash of pasta water if needed to coat evenly.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and a drizzle of olive oil.
Notes
- Use both beef and pork for a rich and balanced flavor.
- Simmer longer for a deeper, thicker sauce.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy variation.
