Description

This One-Pan Honey Garlic Chicken is a quick, flavorful dinner featuring golden-seared chicken thighs coated in a sticky-sweet garlic sauce, all cooked alongside tender green beans in one pan for easy cleanup.


Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper. Add them skin-side down to the hot skillet.
  4. Sear chicken for 6–7 minutes on the skin side until golden. Flip and cook another 5 minutes.
  5. Add minced garlic to the pan and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the honey-soy mixture. Toss in green beans and stir gently.
  6. Let the sauce bubble and thicken for 5–7 minutes, spooning it over the chicken occasionally.
  7. Plate the chicken with green beans and drizzle extra sauce on top. Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Use bone-in chicken thighs for best flavor and texture.
  • Let the sauce simmer until thick and glossy before serving.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy twist.
  • Rest chicken for a couple of minutes before serving to retain juices.
