Description
This One-Pan Honey Garlic Chicken is a quick, flavorful dinner featuring golden-seared chicken thighs coated in a sticky-sweet garlic sauce, all cooked alongside tender green beans in one pan for easy cleanup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 cups green beans, trimmed
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pat chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper. Add them skin-side down to the hot skillet.
- Sear chicken for 6–7 minutes on the skin side until golden. Flip and cook another 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic to the pan and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the honey-soy mixture. Toss in green beans and stir gently.
- Let the sauce bubble and thicken for 5–7 minutes, spooning it over the chicken occasionally.
- Plate the chicken with green beans and drizzle extra sauce on top. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- Use bone-in chicken thighs for best flavor and texture.
- Let the sauce simmer until thick and glossy before serving.
- Add chili flakes for a spicy twist.
- Rest chicken for a couple of minutes before serving to retain juices.
