Nutella Hazelnut Cupcakes are soft, moist cupcakes with a delicious Nutella swirl and a rich hazelnut flavor, perfect for any dessert lover.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1/4 cup finely chopped hazelnuts (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, mixing until just combined.
- Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with batter.
- Drop a teaspoon of Nutella into the center of each cupcake and swirl it into the batter with a toothpick or skewer.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let the cupcakes cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optional: Garnish with chopped hazelnuts before serving.
Notes
- For extra richness, you can frost these cupcakes with Nutella buttercream.
- These cupcakes can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
