Description

Rich, gooey, and ultra-chocolatey, this Midnight Fudge Cake combines brownie mix and triple chocolate cake mix for the fudgiest cake imaginable. Topped with warm fudge and chocolate chips, it’s the ultimate dessert indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Ultimate Fudge Brownie Mix (about 18 oz)
  • 1 box Triple Chocolate Cake Mix (about 15 oz)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate fudge topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, cake mix, eggs, oil, water, and sour cream. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the surface.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Let cake cool slightly. Warm the fudge topping and drizzle evenly over the top.
  7. Slice and serve warm or let cool completely for thick, fudgy texture.

Notes

  • Use Greek yogurt as a sour cream substitute.
  • Add espresso powder for deeper chocolate flavor.
  • Top with sea salt flakes for contrast.
  • Chill before slicing for cleaner cuts.
