Description

These Jalapeño Popper Turnovers are flaky, cheesy, and perfectly spicy. Filled with cream cheese, cheddar, and jalapeños, they bake up golden brown for a snack everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets (2 sheets), thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 jalapeños, finely chopped (plus slices for garnish)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chopped jalapeños, and garlic powder until smooth.
  3. Unfold puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut each into 4 equal squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each square. Fold over into a triangle and seal edges with a fork.
  5. Brush tops with beaten egg and, if desired, top each with a jalapeño slice and pinch of cheddar.
  6. Bake 18–22 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with sour cream or ranch dip.

Notes

  • Chill turnovers before baking for a flakier crust.
  • Use pickled jalapeños for a tangier flavor.
  • Reheat in oven or air fryer to keep crispy.
