Ingredients
Scale
- 2 shots espresso
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 ice cubes (for shaking only)
Instructions
- Brew 2 shots of espresso and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and hot water until fully dissolved.
- Pour the espresso and brown sugar syrup into a mason jar or cocktail shaker with 3 ice cubes.
- Shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until the mixture is chilled and lightly foamy.
- Meanwhile, warm and froth the milk using a milk frother or in a saucepan.
- Strain the shaken espresso into a mug, discarding the ice.
- Pour the warm frothed milk over the espresso and stir gently.
- Top with a pinch of cinnamon and serve hot.
Notes
- Use dark brown sugar for a deeper, more caramel flavor.
- Shaking well is key to getting that frothy texture.
- Pre-warm your mug to help retain heat longer.
- Substitute with oat, almond, or soy milk for a dairy-free option.
