Description

Crispy and flavorful homemade chicken nuggets made from ground chicken, seasoned perfectly, and coated in golden breadcrumbs. Perfect for kids and adults alike.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup plain breadcrumbs (for mixture)
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup oat flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup plain breadcrumbs (for breading)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your air fryer.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, milk, ¼ cup breadcrumbs, egg, oat flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well mixed.
  3. Shape the mixture into nugget-sized pieces using damp hands or a cookie scoop.
  4. Roll each nugget in the remaining breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to coat.
  5. Place nuggets on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in an air fryer basket. Lightly spray or brush with oil if baking.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through. In an air fryer, cook 12–15 minutes, flipping once.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Chill formed nuggets before breading to help them hold their shape.
  • Use panko breadcrumbs for an extra crispy coating.
  • Add herbs or cheese to the mix for flavor variations.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days or frozen for 2 months.
