Description

Chewy coconut bars topped with crunchy almonds and coated in smooth chocolate, a homemade version of a classic treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 whole almonds
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil


Instructions

  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Mix shredded coconut, condensed milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared tray.
  4. Cut into bars and place one almond on each piece.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
  6. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil until smooth.
  7. Dip each bar into the melted chocolate and coat evenly.
  8. Place back on parchment paper and allow chocolate to set.
  9. Serve and enjoy.
