Description

Experience tropical flavors with our Hawaiian Chicken Sheet Pan recipe! This delightful dinner combines the sweetness of pineapple and the zest of soy sauce with tender chicken, all roasted to perfection for a nourishing meal bursting with vibrant flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 4 Chicken thighs

Vegetables

  • 1 cup Pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
  • 2 Bell peppers (mixed colors)
  • 1 Red onion

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup Teriyaki sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • 2 Green onions (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that your chicken and vegetables bake evenly and come out perfectly cooked.
  2. Prepare the Chicken and Marinade: In a bowl, combine chicken thighs with teriyaki sauce, minced garlic, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes for optimal flavor absorption.
  3. Chop the Vegetables: While the chicken marinates, chop the bell peppers and red onion into bite-sized pieces. If using fresh pineapple, cut it into chunks as well.
  4. Arrange on the Sheet Pan: On a large sheet pan, arrange the marinated chicken thighs in the center and surround them with the chopped vegetables and pineapple chunks. Spread everything out for even cooking.
  5. Bake: Place the sheet pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the veggies are tender.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy the colorful and aromatic feast!

Notes

  • Use skin-on chicken for extra flavor and moisture.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan to ensure proper roasting.
  • Marinate chicken longer for a more intense flavor.
  • Mix and match seasonal vegetables for freshness.
  • Check doneness using a meat thermometer.
