Description
Hamburger Steaks in Creamy Dill Sauce is a savory dish featuring tender beef patties served with a rich and creamy dill sauce, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1/4 cup beef broth
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Form the mixture into four patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Scrape up any brown bits from the pan.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and fresh dill. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the patties to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Simmer for another 5 minutes to heat through.
- Serve the hamburger steaks with the creamy dill sauce on top.
Notes
- Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
- For a lighter version, you can use lean ground beef or turkey.
