Description

Ground Beef Tortilla Wraps are quick and easy handheld meals featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh veggies, and melty cheese wrapped in soft tortillas—perfect for lunch, dinner, or meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce or salsa
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  3. Stir in garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add tomato sauce or salsa and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  5. Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
  6. To assemble each wrap, place lettuce, beef mixture, cheese, and tomatoes in the center of a tortilla.
  7. Add sour cream and cilantro if desired. Fold the sides and roll up tightly into a wrap.
  8. Optional: toast each wrap in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side for extra crispiness.

Notes

  • Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based crumbles for a lighter version.
  • Double the recipe and freeze extra wraps for meal prep.
  • Add avocado slices or pickled jalapeños for extra flavor.
