Description

Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, these Golden Waffles are the ultimate breakfast comfort food. Made with pantry staples and ready in minutes, they’re perfect for weekend brunch or make-ahead freezer meals. Just add butter, syrup, or your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat waffle iron.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cornstarch.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs, then mix in milk, butter, oil, and vanilla.
  4. Pour wet into dry and mix until just combined. Let rest 5–10 minutes.
  5. Grease waffle iron. Pour batter and cook 3–5 minutes or until golden.
  6. Serve hot with desired toppings.

Notes

  • Let the batter rest for crispier texture.
  • Don’t overmix — lumps are okay.
  • Use a wire rack to keep waffles from getting soggy.
  • Freeze extras and reheat in the toaster or oven.
