Description

This Garlic Steak & Cheese-Filled Tortellini Skillet combines tender strips of steak with cheesy tortellini in a creamy garlic sauce. It’s a hearty, flavorful one-pan meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
  • 1 package (20 oz) cheese-filled tortellini
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak slices with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak slices and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon olive oil and butter. Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Stir in the cooked tortellini and return the steak to the skillet. Toss everything together to coat with the sauce.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, cover, and let it melt for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the steak in garlic and herbs for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Use pre-cooked steak strips to save time on busy nights.
  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra texture and nutrients.
