- 2-4 pita bread pieces
- 250 g ground beef
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
Instructions
- Mix ground beef, garlic, onion, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and black pepper in a bowl to form the meatball mixture.
- Slice pita into pockets if needed.
- Stuff each pita with the meatball mixture, being careful not to overfill.
- Brush outside of pita with olive oil.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and sear the Arayes on each side until golden and crispy, or bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10-12 minutes.
- Warm tomato sauce in a small bowl for dipping.
- Serve Arayes hot with the tomato sauce on the side.
Notes
- Use high-quality ground beef for juicy meatballs.
- Do not overstuff pita pockets to prevent spilling during cooking.
- Freshly grated Parmesan adds better flavor and texture.
