- 4 slices cheddar cheese (about 80 grams total)
- 4 garlic knot buns
- 1/4 cup (60 grams) mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons (30 grams) ketchup
- 1 tablespoon (15 grams) mustard
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons (45 grams) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Heat a heavy skillet or griddle over high heat until very hot.
- Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard to create the sauce. In another bowl, combine melted butter with minced garlic and chopped parsley.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Brush the inside of the garlic knot buns with the garlic butter mixture and set aside.
- Assemble the Dish: Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions. Place each portion onto the hot skillet and smash firmly with a spatula. Season immediately with salt and black pepper.
