Garlic Chicken Parmesan is a crispy, cheesy, garlicky Italian-American favorite made with golden breaded chicken, marinara sauce, and melty mozzarella for the ultimate comfort food experience.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish.
- Mix panko, parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl. Place flour in another, and beaten eggs in a third.
- Pound chicken breasts evenly, then dredge in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high and pan-fry chicken until golden, about 3 minutes per side.
- Transfer to baking dish. Spread marinara on the bottom, place chicken on top, spoon sauce over, and sprinkle mozzarella.
- Bake 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and melted. Garnish with fresh basil.
- Let rest 5 minutes, then serve hot with pasta, salad, or bread.
Notes
- Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- Layer cheese under and over the sauce for gooey perfection.
- Don’t overbake to keep chicken juicy.
