Description

Garlic Butter Honey BBQ Beef Tacos are a flavorful twist on traditional tacos, combining tender beef with a sweet and smoky honey BBQ sauce and rich garlic butter, all wrapped in warm tortillas.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  2. Drain excess fat, then add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in honey BBQ sauce, honey (if using), smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture into each tortilla.
  6. Top with shredded cheese, red onion, and chopped cilantro.
  7. Add a dollop of sour cream if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For spicier tacos, add a pinch of chili flakes or hot sauce to the beef.
  • Use lettuce wraps instead of tortillas for a low-carb version.
