- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread cream cheese mixture on one side of each bread slice. Top half with strawberry jam and sliced strawberries. Cover with remaining slices to form sandwiches.
- Whisk eggs and milk in a bowl. Dip each sandwich in the mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry sandwiches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
