- 8 slices brioche or challah bread
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter for frying
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar if desired for sweetness.
- Spread cream cheese on 4 slices of bread. Top with strawberry jam and fresh strawberries. Cover with the remaining slices to form sandwiches.
- Melt butter in the skillet. Place sandwiches in the pan and fry 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until golden brown and heated through.
- Remove from skillet and let rest 1–2 minutes.
- Dust with powdered sugar, slice, and serve warm.
