Description

Golden-fried brioche sandwiches filled with creamy cheesecake and sweet strawberries, these Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches are the ultimate indulgent treat perfect for brunch or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices brioche or challah bread
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter for frying
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, for dusting


Instructions

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar if desired for sweetness.
  3. Spread cream cheese on 4 slices of bread. Top with strawberry jam and fresh strawberries. Cover with the remaining slices to form sandwiches.
  4. Melt butter in the skillet. Place sandwiches in the pan and fry 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until golden brown and heated through.
  5. Remove from skillet and let rest 1–2 minutes.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use thick-cut bread to prevent sogginess.
  • Room temperature cream cheese spreads more easily and evenly.
  • For a sweeter version, mix a little vanilla or lemon zest into the cream cheese.
  • Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
