Ingredients
- Brioche dough: 2 ½ cups, enriched with eggs and butter
- Sugar: ½ cup, for coating
- Eggs: 2 large
- Butter: ½ cup, melted
- Milk: ½ cup, warm
- Yeast: 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- Salt: ¼ teaspoon
- Chocolate ganache: 1 cup
- Fresh strawberries: 6, halved for garnish
Instructions
- Warm milk and mix with yeast to activate.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, yeast, and salt to form a soft dough.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Shape dough into small balls and allow to rest briefly.
- Heat oil to 350°F and fry dough balls until golden brown on all sides.
- Roll fried donuts in sugar while still warm.
- Fill donuts with chocolate ganache using a piping bag.
- Top each donut with a halved fresh strawberry and serve immediately.
